The new health system will be simpler and more coordinated, allowing for better and more consistent care.  The Operating Model is the group of entities that make up the single national health system.

To operate effectively, some important structures need to be in place. These are Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand(external link),  Te Aka Whai Ora - Māori Health Authority(external link), Manatū Hauora (Ministry of Health) and Public health / Te hauora o te tūmatanui.
